Redefining Nutrition: More Than Macros ~ More than Food

Nutrition is often related to having to go on a “diet” and eliminate all the foods we love, obsessing over hitting our macros and counting calories, and this restrictive component of our health thats strips away our happiness around the enjoyment of food and eating. There’s more fear and confusion around nutrition and food these days than ever before. But it doesn’t have to be like this. Nutrition is actually quite simple. We just tend to over complicate it and then look to the media for answers only to be left more confused and in fear about eating certain foods and whether we are eating the “perfect diet” or if what we are eating is approved by people that we don’t know and often unconsciously give our attention and power away to.

I don’t have all the answers but what I do believe is that

Nutrition is nourishment for the mind, body & spirit

its more than “hitting our macros”

it’s more than just the foods we eat

it’s more than a meal-plan

its whole and necessary

its holistic & sweet
