Enough

We go through this life

Too often looking for others approval

Wanting someone else to tell us we are beautiful

Taking selfies to post in hopes someone replys

I can tell just by the look in your eyes

Your beautiful inside and out

Is what you should be telling yourself

No matter what they say

I love you in every way

I originally wrote this poem with my non dominant hand...something I have been experiencing with lately. I've learned that writing with our non dominant hand is a way to explore deeper within, especially our wounds and inner child. It slows us down and pulls ourselves out of our own way. A way of healing.

I have also been experiencing doing more things with my non dominant (left hand) such as brushing my teeth and hair to help activate more of the right side of my brain. The right side of our brains are typically associated with creativity, intuition, imagination, holistic thinking, and visualization. A great way to slow down, balance, and tap in.

Doodling has been something I often find myself doing even looking back to when I was in a classroom and journaling helps me to connect and clear my mind. Sometimes it's not always what you write but what you experience when you are writing.

in love & wellness,

~Jess
